Deck overview

The deck's clearest win is the two-card combo of Dualcaster Mage and Electroduplicate. With Dualcaster Mage on the battlefield, casting Electroduplicate creates a token copy that copies the same spell. Each new token repeats the process, producing arbitrarily many hasty Dualcaster Mage tokens for a same-turn attack. The list supports this plan with rituals, mana rocks, transmute cards, broad tutors, and a substantial counterspell package. Its ordinary weakness is access: both combo pieces are singleton cards, and most tutors find only one piece or require substantial mana. Kefka, Court Mage and Waste Not provide a secondary discard-value plan, while Rionya, Fire Dancer and Combat Celebrant offer a slower combat-based backup. The deck can present a decisive turn-7 threat in ordinary functional draws, but its early turns are less consistent than a dedicated competitive combo deck. It has useful interaction, but protecting the combo competes directly with assembling and deploying it.
