Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy mono-black aristocrats and control engine commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Horror. The deck focuses on accelerating its mana curve in the early turns using mana dorks, rituals, and mana rocks before establishing a persistent card-drawing engine via Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Skullclamp, or Braids, Arisen Nightmare. It controls the board through efficient removal and recurring sacrifice triggers from Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder. In the mid-to-late game, the deck scales its mana through Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Crypt Ghast, and Throne of Eldraine, fueling lethal finishers like Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or a mass Living Death reanimation chain. Avacyn, Angel of Horror acts as an oppressive value engine and board-state protector, recurring any nontoken creatures that die on each player's end step to completely lock down opposing boards and secure victory through unstoppable attrition and combat.
