Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Combat strategy commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The primary objective is to resolve Azula on curve, declare combat attacks to generate extra red mana via firebending, and cast instant-speed spells during combat to copy them. Duplicating card draw, burn, and combat buffs lets the deck compound card advantage and burst down opposing life totals. Secondary payoffs like Professor Onyx, Prismari, the Inspiration, and Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian translate instant and sorcery casts into widespread table damage. Because the deck relies on combat timing and single-target spell duplication, it plays a mid-tempo game supported by a robust reactive removal package, selective counterspells, and protective combat tricks.
