Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis Reanimator list helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It accelerates mana rapidly in the opening turns using cheap artifacts and rituals to place dominant game-ending creatures into the graveyard via Entomb, Buried Alive, or discard spells. Early reanimation targets like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Void Winnower, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded establish asymmetric board states and resource denial as early as Turn 2 or 3. As opponents struggle under stax pressure and empty hands, Sauron enters to amass massive Orc Armies, trigger the Ring, and continuously discard and draw four fresh cards each combat step. While lacking compact two-card infinite combos, the deck overwhelms the table through relentless creature pressure, heavy card advantage, and a versatile suite of interaction and countermagic.
