Commander: Homer, the Hermit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai landfall-mill tribal deck helmed by Homer, the Hermit, a 0/9 Crab Druid that turns every land drop into a mass-mill event scaled by the number of Crabs, Lobsters, Nautiluses, Starfish, and Trilobites you control. The primary game plan is to assemble a critical mass of these creature types-using token generators like Scuttletide, Hard Evidence, and Springleaf Parade alongside natural crabs-then chain land drops via Exploration, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, and land-tutor spells to mill all opponents out. Backup mill comes from Phenax, God of Deception (tapping high-toughness creatures), Hedron Crab/Ruin Crab triggers, and burst spells like Maddening Cacophony. The deck also features a robust land-recursion package (Life from the Loam, Splendid Reclamation, Aftermath Analyst) to reuse lands and fuel Field of the Dead for a secondary zombie token army. Wins are incremental, not explosive, relying on sustained pressure over many turns.
