Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Mono-Red control and group slug strategy commanded by Ashling the Pilgrim. It turns Ashling into a reusable, instant-speed sweeper and asymmetrical burn engine. Early turns prioritize fast mana acceleration through low-cost artifacts and rituals to deploy Ashling alongside critical equipment such as Basilisk Collar or Magebane Armor. Once protected, damage amplifiers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, and Fiery Emancipation scale Ashling's three-activation detonation into devastating board clears that deal massive damage to each opponent while preserving your life total. Stax pieces like Price of Glory and Citadel of Pain paralyze opposing mana and force awkward timing, while a rich suite of redirection spells shields your board from spot removal. The deck steadily grinds opponents down across two to three rotations, closing out games with overwhelming burn damage.
