Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is the quintessential "cheat-into-play" aggro deck: resolve her, keep her alive with Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Whispersilk Cloak, Mother of Runes, and a core of instant protection, then turn every attack into a free 5-8 mana Angel, Demon, or Dragon. More than thirty such creatures fill the list, pulling triple duty as evasive threats, on-board tutors (Rune-Scarred Demon, Burning-Rune Demon, Razaketh, the Foulblooded), and finishers (Master of Cruelties, Aurelia, the Warleader, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight). A reanimator channel - Reanimate, Whip of Erebos, Reya Dawnbringer, Emeria Shepherd, Liesa, Forgotten Archangel - rebuilds after wipes and keeps the deck functioning when Kaalia is taxed out. Wins come from the Master of Cruelties one-shot, the Helm of the Host + Aurelia infinite-combat loop, or overwhelming flying beatdown under Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Akroma's Will.
