Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Midrange Control strategy built around Shiko, Paragon of the Way. It plays an attrition-based game plan that controls early aggression using efficient spot removal, counterspells, and board wipes. Once the game stabilizes, the deck leverages deep card selection, planeswalkers, and recursive threats to pull ahead in resources. Shiko, Paragon of the Way acts as an incidental value engine by recasting utility spells from the graveyard upon entry. The primary win conditions revolve around recurring powerhouse beaters, particularly Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury and Pyrogoyf, backed by planeswalker support from Teferi, Hero of Dominaria. While the deck excels at answering threats in 1-for-1 exchanges and maintaining a full hand, its multiplayer clock is deliberately fair. Without infinite combos or table-wide burn, it must eliminate opponents sequentially through fair combat damage, making it susceptible to multiplayer card disadvantage and prolonged game states.
