mono black force burn by user7120240

Format: Commander

Commander: Ob Nixilis, Unshackled

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mono-black control/punishment deck built around Ob Nixilis, Unshackled: every opponent library search becomes a 10-life hit and a sacrifice. The two functional 'hidden commanders' are Maralen of the Mornsong and Mornsong Aria, which replace draw steps with searches. The plan is to ramp to six mana, protect Ob, then drop one of the two lock pieces so each opponent loses 10 life per draw step. Secondary drain lines use Exsanguinate, Gray Merchant, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, and Archfiend of Despair. Tutors, recurrable demons, and swamp-matters mana engines give the deck multiple ways to assemble the slow lock.
