Deck overview

This Grixis Goblin deck combines classic red and black Goblin swarm mechanics with blue countermagic and ward protection provided by Saruman, the White Hand. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early mana reducers and Goblin tutors on turns 1 through 3, establishing an engine like Krenko, Mob Boss or a tutor chain on Turn 4, and exploding into a must-answer board state on Turn 5. By Turn 6, the deck converts wide token boards into lethal combat swings boosted by lords like Goblin Chieftain and Battle Cry Goblin, backed by direct aristocrat burn from Sling-Gang Lieutenant and Pashalik Mons. Blue inclusion provides vital interaction, allowing the deck to protect its board with efficient counterspells like Pact of Negation, Swan Song, and Mana Drain while refilling cards through Moria Marauder and Bident of Thassa.
