This deck is an Abzan toughness-matters strategy commanded by Betor, Kin to All. The primary game plan accelerates mana on early turns, deploys low-cost, high-toughness creatures, and casts Betor to establish a compounding card-draw and untap engine. By turning high toughness into offensive power with cards like Doran, the Siege Tower and Ancient Lumberknot, the deck attacks for massive damage while remaining heavily fortified. Asymmetric board wipes such as Wave of Reckoning and Dusk // Dawn decimate opposing boards without touching your low-power defenders. Once the total board toughness reaches 40, Betor halves all opponents' life totals at each end step, rapidly setting up lethal combat swings to eliminate the table across turns 6 to 8.
