X Factor by Setite

Format: Commander

Commander: Magus Lucea Kane

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Magus Lucea Kane is a Temur X-spell copy engine. The deck ramps into large Ravenous Tyranids, uses Magus's tap ability to make copies, and turns those copies into a counter-heavy board with token support. Secondary paths are direct burn from copied Exocrine or Warstorm Surge and an infinite-colorless combo using Marvin, Ioreth, and Magus. The commander is built around the tap ability rather than the combat counter trigger; the combat trigger mainly adds counters for Bred for the Hunt, Cathedral Acolyte, and Winged Hive Tyrant. Without Magus the deck can still cast huge creatures, but most of its copying explosiveness is gone.
