Deck overview

This Azorius artifact deck, helmed by Mendicant Core, Guidelight, is a value-driven strategy that leans heavily on the "Start your engines!" mechanic. The primary game plan is to quickly reach max speed (4) and then use the commander's ability to copy artifact spells for a negligible {1}, generating explosive board presence through token doublers, Cosmic Cube free casts, and Helm of the Host clones. The deck wins through combat with massive artifact creatures like Krang, Utrom Warlord and Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought, or by overwhelming the table with copied spells. The deck is dense with artifacts, cost reducers, and a moderate interaction suite, but its reliance on the artifact type makes it vulnerable to hate pieces.
