Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale and focuses on melding self-mill, lands-matter synergies, and graveyard recursion into an overwhelming token and creature engine. Early turns prioritize ramping mana and seeding the graveyard with cards like Stitcher's Supplier, Satyr Wayfinder, and Grisly Salvage. Once Teval enters combat, every attack accelerates mana by recurring lands and populates the battlefield with Zombie Druids. Mid-to-late game transitions into explosive payoffs, utilizing mass land recursion such as Splendid Reclamation and Aftermath Analyst to trigger Avenger of Zendikar and Ob Nixilis, the Fallen. Alternatively, a resolved Living Death reanimates giant threats like Lord of Extinction and Consuming Aberration, granting the team evasion with Wonder or life-draining the entire pod using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. While highly resilient against standard removal due to abundant recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to dedicated graveyard exile and fast stack-based combo strategies.
