Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aristocrats and reanimation strategy helmed by Bartolomé del Presidio. Having a zero-mana sacrifice outlet in the command zone ensures that death triggers and fodder management are always accessible. The primary game plan fills the graveyard using cheap self-mill creatures and looting spells, then leverages powerful reanimation effects such as Sun Titan, Sevinne's Reclamation, and Dread Return to recur high-value permanents. Passive drain engines like Bastion of Remembrance, Marionette Apprentice, and Zulaport Cutthroat siphon opposing life totals whenever creatures are recycled. While the deck lacks fast mana and free counterspells, its dense package of two-mana ramp pieces ensures consistent early deployment. The list demonstrates exceptional recovery against board wipes due to flashback spells and graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to early graveyard exile and exile-based sweepers.
