Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Under Thranduil, the Elvenking, this is a Sultai elf-ball deck that treats the graveyard as an activated-ability toolbox. Thranduil grants himself every activated ability of every Elf card in the graveyard, so the deck leans heavily on self-mill: Ripples of Undeath, Cemetery Tampering, Trystan, Callous Cultivator // Trystan, Penitent Culler, Cantankerous Keepers, and Lluwen, Imperfect Naturalist fill the yard. Once key Elves are binned, Thranduil can tap for enormous mana through Priest of Titania, Marwyn, the Nurturer, or Circle of Dreams Druid, and then deploy finishers like Ezuri, Renegade Leader's overrun, Lathril, Blade of the Elves' ten-Elf mass drain, or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's sacrifice drain. The deck also has a strong backup beatdown plan with Elvish Archdruid, Leaf-Crowned Visionary, token generators, and Finale of Devastation to close games.
