Deck overview

This deck is a classic Draw-Go Spellslinger Control deck commanded by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The primary game plan focuses on casting Eluge early to accumulate flood counters on your lands. Because Eluge reduces the cost of the first instant or sorcery cast on each player's turn by the number of flood counters you control, the deck quickly achieves massive mana efficiency across the entire table rotation. You hold open mana to disrupt opposing threats with premier countermagic and bounce spells at negligible costs, while drawing through your deck with large instant-speed draw spells. Once control is established around Turn 7, the deck closes the game by overwhelming opponents with flying tokens from Shark Typhoon or Talrand, Sky Summoner, resolving a kicked Rite of Replication, or swinging with an unblockable, massive Eluge.
