Deck overview

This is a high-velocity Gruul combo deck helmed by Hugs, Grisly Guardian. The primary plan is to leverage an elite fast-mana package (moxen, rituals, dorks, and Gaea's Cradle) to assemble compact infinite-mana or infinite-creature loops as early as possible. Core win lines revolve around Food Chain with exile-castable creatures (Squee, the Immortal, Eternal Scourge), Dualcaster Mage copy loops with Twinflame/Heat Shimmer, and untap engines (Umbral Mantle, Staff of Domination) on high-yield dorks. Hugs, Grisly Guardian functions as a flexible command-zone impulse engine and extra-land enabler rather than a combo piece, exiling a deep stack of cards when cast with a large X and accelerating land drops. Secondary paths include a massive Finale of Devastation and combat finishes via token swarms. The deck plays like a turbo midrange combo list that wins through layered, tutor-backed engines.
