Reign of Dragons by drakexedge

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathliss, Dragon Queen

Bracket: 2

DeckCheck Threat Index: 29

Deck overview

This mono-red tribal deck leverages Lathliss, Dragon Queen to turn every nontoken Dragon cast into a doubled aerial threat by generating 5/5 Dragon tokens. The early game establishes cost reduction and ramp through pieces like Dragonspeaker Shaman, Dragonlord's Servant, and Herald's Horn, facilitating a Turn 4-5 deployment of Lathliss or key tribal enchantments like Dragon Tempest. In the mid game, casting heavy flying threats triggers massive direct burn and rapidly populates the board with evasive beaters. High-end bombs like Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames scale the damage geometrically, while asymmetric damage sweepers such as Breath Weapon and Blasphemous Act keep opposing ground armies in check. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide aerial attacks and firebreathing activations, remaining resilient to individual threat removal thanks to the high density of standalone Dragon bombs.
