Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos Vampire tribal strategy built around cheating high-cost Vampires into play using Strefan, Maurer Progenitor. The primary game plan focuses on dealing early chip damage to opponents on turns 1 through 3 to generate Blood tokens during your end steps. By Turn 5, Strefan attacks and sacrifices two Blood tokens to put massive threats like Necropolis Regent, Crossway Troublemakers, or Markov Enforcer directly onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck supplements this aggressive combat tempo with aristocrat life drain from Blood Artist and Sanctum Seeker, one-sided sweepers like Olivia's Wrath, and recurring sacrifice attrition from Anowon, the Ruin Sage and Butcher of Malakir. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game combat potential and resilient beatdown lines, it lacks fast stack interaction and dedicated tutors, relying instead on Blood token filtering to cycle into needed answers.
