Who Is Thassa Though

Format: Commander

Commander: Kenessos, Priest of Thassa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Simic sea-monster tribal build helmed by Kenessos, Priest of Thassa. Its primary game plan uses the commander's activated ability - enhanced by a dense scry suite - to cheat large Kraken, Leviathan, Octopus, and Serpent creatures onto the battlefield far ahead of curve. The deck leans heavily on land-fall value engines like Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait and Tatyova, Benthic Druid to generate card advantage while building a board of evasive, trampling sea monsters. Winning typically comes through overwhelming combat, made unstoppable by Serpent of Yawning Depths' unblockability effect, supported by bounce (Whelming Wave, Kederekt Leviathan) to clear obstacles. A robust counterspell suite protects the strategy from disruption.
