Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya midrange strategy combining Angel tribal synergies with a +1/+1 counter and lifegain engine. Led by Shalai, Voice of Plenty, the deck leverages efficient early mana acceleration into powerful aerial threats like Giada, Font of Hope, Righteous Valkyrie, and Archangel of Thune. Shalai acts as both a protective ward in the command zone, granting hexproof to the player and the rest of the board, and a late-game mana sink that permanently buffs the entire team. The deck generates massive flying boards that pressure opposing life totals while sustaining high life totals through lifelink triggers. Card flow engines like Beast Whisperer and Guardian Project ensure sustained resource replenishment, while flexible interaction spells and asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict clear path obstacles. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via overwhelming evasive combat damage powered by anthems, double strike, or Akroma's Will.
