Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats Aggro build led by Minthara, Merciless Soul. The strategy revolves around deploying disposable creatures and token generators such as Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Ophiomancer, and Carrier Thrall, then casting Minthara on Turn 4. By ensuring a permanent leaves the battlefield each turn, the deck steadily accumulates experience counters that provide Minthara with scaling Ward protection and grant the entire creature team an escalating static power buff. By Turn 6, the deck converts wide armies of 1/1 tokens into lethal attackers swinging for 20 to 30 damage, supported by life drain from Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Campaign of Vengeance. While the deck possesses a compact infinite combo in Putrid Goblin, Thran Vigil, and Phyrexian Altar, its primary game plan is relentless combat pressure. Because experience counters stay with the player, the deck recovers quickly from removal, though it remains vulnerable to mass board wipes.
