Deck overview

This Bant deck focuses on creature storm and landfall acceleration powered by Chulane, Teller of Tales. The deck develops quickly in the early turns using efficient mana dorks like Birds of Paradise and Llanowar Elves, aiming to cast Chulane on Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, casting cheap utility creatures and repeatable bounce spells such as Shrieking Drake triggers Chulane's ability repeatedly, drawing cards and placing extra lands directly onto the battlefield untapped. This rapid resource acceleration fuels massive board development through token generators like Avenger of Zendikar and God-Eternal Oketra. Supporting engines including Beast Whisperer and Guardian Project provide redundant card draw if the commander is removed. Protection pieces like Teferi, Time Raveler, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, and Unbreakable Formation shield the creature board from opposing disruption. The deck closes games around Turn 6 by tutoring or casting decisive combat overruns such as Craterhoof Behemoth, End-Raze Forerunners, or a lethal Finale of Devastation.
