Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gargos, Vicious Watcher helms a mono-green Hydra stompy deck that leverages massive mana cost reduction and fight triggers. The primary strategy ramps quickly to deploy Gargos, which reduces the cost of all Hydra spells by four generic mana. This discount allows the deck to flood the battlefield with gigantic, scaling threats like Primordial Hydra, Kalonian Hydra, and Voracious Hydra for minimal investment. Low-cost single-target protection spells and Auras serve a dual purpose: they safeguard your board while turning Gargos into a repeatable removal engine. The deck finishes games through overwhelming trample damage, lethal commander combat, or infect bursts via Grafted Exoskeleton and Phyrexian Hydra.
