Magar by Shivvers

Format: Commander

Commander: Magar of the Magic Strings

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Magar of the Magic Strings is a graveyard-based value deck that turns instants and sorceries into recurring 3/3 creatures. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard, animate key spells like Army of the Damned, Wake the Dragon, and In Garruk's Wake as creature tokens, then attack to copy and cast them for free. The commander is the central engine and recursion tool; the deck also leverages discard draw spells and treasure generation to ramp into big spell turns. Secondary paths include direct damage from Guttersnipe and Black Waltz No. 3, and big swing spells like Sorin's Vengeance and Explosive Singularity. The deck is built to use the front face of Magar; no other face exists.
