Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul Landfall strategy commanded by Tannuk, Memorial Ensign. It converts land drops into direct group-slug damage and steady card advantage. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using premier green ramp spells and additional land drop enablers such as Exploration, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. Once Tannuk is established, it leverages graveyard land recursion via Ramunap Excavator, Conduit of Worlds, and Lumra, Bellow of the Woods alongside sacrifice outlets like Zuran Orb and fetchlands to generate multiple landfalls per turn. The deck transitions into a lethal win condition around Turn 5–6 by multiplying noncombat damage with Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, or deploying explosive mass-landfall sorceries like Scapeshift and Splendid Reclamation. Token generators including Scute Swarm and Omnath, Locus of Rage provide a robust combat backup, ensuring decisive victories even through commander disruption.
