Open the Skies by Diorama

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast build that leverages her attack trigger to cheat out high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield. The deck pairs this with extra combat effects (Aurelia, the Warleader, All-Out Assault) and damage doublers (Twinflame Tyrant, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Neriv, Heart of the Storm) to close out games quickly. A robust protection suite (Flawless Maneuver, Boros Charm, Mithril Coat, Grand Abolisher) and recursion (Reanimate, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, Ancient Brass Dragon) give the deck staying power. The primary win condition is combat damage through multiple attacks, with the Master of Cruelties + Reconnaissance line offering a one-shot potential. The deck is explosive but inconsistent due to limited tutor access.
