Smaug by femcellover

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a mono-red Dragon/Treasure engine that converts artifact tokens into overwhelming mana and a one-shot Smaug trigger. It accelerates with rituals and early token makers, then multiplies output with Xorn, Academy Manufactor, and Goldspan Dragon. The primary finish is an extra-combat loop: Hellkite Charger equipped with The Reaver Cleaver endlessly attacks while Goldspan makes each Treasure pay for {5}{R}{R}; each hit refunds more Treasures than the next trigger costs. Secondary wins are artifact-count alt-conditions (Hellkite Tyrant, Knuckles the Echidna) and damage-doubled Smaug/Terror of the Peaks bursts. Goldspan Dragon is effectively the hidden commander because the main combo and the mana engine both hinge on it, while Smaug provides an evasive early clock and scaling burn.
