Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir tempo-burn list commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary strategy focuses on deploying cheap, evasive 1-mana creatures on Turn 1 to enable Turn 2 Commander ninjutsu. Because Commander ninjutsu is an activated ability that costs a flat {U}{B}, Yuriko completely circumvents commander tax and sorcery-speed removal timing. Once on the battlefield, every unblocked Ninja trigger reveals the top card of the library, drawing that card while dealing global life loss to each opponent equal to its mana value. The deck uses top-deck manipulation like Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and Lim-Dûl's Vault to stack oversized spells such as Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Enter the Infinite for explosive burst damage. Backed by a dense package of free countermagic (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship) and efficient removal, the deck aggressively drains the entire table while maintaining dominant card advantage and tempo control.
