Lathril Elves by hdanner

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

An elf-ball deck built around Lathril, Blade of the Elves, using her combat trigger to create an Elf army and her ten-elf activation as a flat table drain. The primary plan is to ramp with one-drop mana elves, cast Lathril early, then either convert a wide board into a Craterhoof/Finale overrun or assemble infinite mana with Marwyn plus Umbral Mantle/Staff and win through Staff draw, Shaman of the Pack, or a hasty Finale. Lathril is the token/drain face, but Marwyn functions as the hidden combo engine that tutors often target. Secondary paths include Ezuri overrun, Bolas's Citadel casting from the top, and drain triggers from Skemfar Shadowsage. There is no literal double-faced commander; Growing Rites of Itlimoc is a back-up Cradle effect.
