Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Lifegain Combo strategy commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap soul-sister effects like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls in the early turns, establishing early incremental lifegain. Once the commander is cast, these lifegain triggers turn into massive card draw, allowing the deck to dig rapidly through its library. The deck aims to assemble two-card infinite drain combos, specifically pairing Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or South Wind Avatar. It defends its development using versatile removal spells like Anguished Unmaking and shields its decisive combo turns with proactive silence effects from Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos.
