Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Simic token and counter strategy piloted by partner commanders Donatello, the Brains and Michelangelo, the Heart. The core game plan focuses on curving out both commanders early to trigger Michelangelo's Raid ability, which distributes +1/+1 counters and creates Food tokens that Donatello upgrades into additional Mutagen artifact tokens. As the battlefield fills with utility artifact tokens, value engines like Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest convert the token hoard into immense mana acceleration and steady card velocity. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by weaponizing its wide board with game-ending finishers like Cyberdrive Awakener, Herald of Secret Streams, or Baxter, Fly in the Ointment, overwhelming opponents with unblockable or flying alpha strikes.
