Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir combo and storm deck commanded by Uldaros Theorix. The primary game plan seeks to assemble and resolve a compact two-card infinite combo using Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog. By targeting itself with Chain of Smog, the deck repeatedly copies the spell and triggers Magecraft to drain all opponents of 40 life in a single turn. Dense mana acceleration from artifacts and black rituals powers out high-impact spells ahead of curve, while efficient tutors like Solve the Equation, Dark Petition, and Spellseeker ensure reliable access to combo pieces. If the primary line faces disruption, reanimation spells and the commander provide rapid recovery, while alternative lines like Isochron Scepter paired with Dramatic Reversal and Peer into the Abyss offer resilient, immediate win conditions. A lean suite of 1-mana countermagic, bounce spells, and silence effects like Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun shields the combo during critical execution windows.
