Deck overview

This Bant deck helmed by Derevi, Empyrial Tactician leverages tap and untap mechanics alongside powerful enter-the-battlefield blink engines to control the flow of the game. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost dorks and rocks, setting up Derevi to untap key lands, artifacts, and multi-mana creatures. Midgame transitions into locking down opposing boards using freeze and stun effects from cards like Hylda of the Icy Crown, Time of Ice, and Donatello, Rad Scientist. Once combat dominance is established, the deck pivots into repeated value blinking with Brago, King Eternal, Displacer Kitten, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, generating massive card advantage and removing opposing permanents via Reflector Mage and Agent of Treachery. The game concludes through overwhelming combat damage from evasive creatures, tall buffs from Colossification, or massive token swarms while opponents remain tapped down.
