Deck overview

This Azorius deck is a focused Voltron strategy centered on Wraith, Vicious Vigilante, an evasive 1/1 commander with double strike and unblockability. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Wraith on Turn 3 and attaching synergistic enhancements—specifically toughness-scaling artifacts like Bark of Doran alongside Captain America's Shield, or power-boosting auras like Empyrial Armor—to quickly threaten lethal commander damage. Because Wraith naturally bypasses blockers and strikes twice, every point of stat increase is doubled in combat effectiveness. The supporting package features light tempo-taxing permanents like Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior and Propaganda to stymie counter-attacks, coupled with cheap countermagic and hexproof tricks to shield Wraith from opposing interaction. However, because the deck is bound to single-target combat damage and runs no tutors, it must systematically eliminate opponents one at a time over extended turn cycles, making it vulnerable to sustained table attrition.
