Deck overview

This is a mono-white Death and Taxes Equipment Voltron list helmed by Cloud, Midgar Mercenary. The plan pairs a dense stax/tax suite (Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Archon of Emeria, Drannith Magistrate, Deafening Silence, Armageddon) with Cloud's ETB Equipment tutor and his ability to double triggered abilities of Equipment attached to him. Suit him with protection and payoff blades (Commander's Plate, Sword of Feast and Famine, Buster Sword, Genji Glove), then close through commander damage while the table is choked on mana and spells. There are no infinite combos; inevitability is pure combat under lock pieces, backed by recursive Equipment tools (Forge Anew, Cid, Freeflier Pilot, Sevinne's Reclamation) and a deep protection blanket. Secondary paths include living-weapon beaters (Batterskull, Kaldra Compleat) and hard land denial after you are ahead on board.
