Eluge by DarkShadows

Format: Commander

Commander: Eluge, the Shoreless Sea

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-blue spellslinger deck is helmed by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea, a commander that grows with your Islands and turns lands into Islands via flood counters, drastically reducing the cost of your first instant or sorcery each turn. The primary game plan is to flood the board with Islands, drop cost reducers, and chain cheap instants and sorceries to generate a massive token army (from Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, Deekah, Fractal Theorist, Shark Typhoon, and Metallurgic Summonings). Once the token board is established, extra turns from Time Warp and Walk the Aeons allow you to swing for lethal in multiple combat phases. The deck also packs a dense counterspell suite and bounce effects to control the table, making it a resilient tempo-control build that wins through incremental combat advantage.
