Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul artifact-token midrange strategy built around Aerid Konstrari. The primary game plan accelerates into an early commander cast on Turn 3 or 4, immediately generating Heartwood artifact mana tokens on entry. The deck then uses inexpensive clone and token-copying spells, such as Molten Duplication, Twinflame, and Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink, to target Aerid. Due to the legend rule, legendary copies immediately die, triggering both enters and dies abilities to rapidly flood the board with Heartwood mana tokens. This exploding artifact count fuels lethal burn triggers through Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, powers massive card draw via Garruk's Uprising and Rishkar's Expertise, or pumps Aerid and Craterclaw Colossus for game-ending combat swings and Chandra's Ignition wipes. The deck trades proactive stax pieces for pure synergy, velocity, and explosive damage output.
