Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an aggressive tribal aristocrats strategy built around the eminence ability. From the command zone, Edgar Markov creates a 1/1 Vampire token every time you cast a Vampire spell. The deck uses a dense curve of 1-drop and 2-drop creatures to flood the battlefield rapidly. Tribal lords like Cordial Vampire and Legion Lieutenant convert these small tokens into a lethal combat force. Simultaneously, sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Phyrexian Altar pair with aristocrats like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Zulaport Cutthroat to drain opponents' life totals whenever creatures die. Skullclamp and Champion of Dusk provide massive card draw to keep resources flowing. In addition to overwhelming combat and drain damage, the deck packs an instant win condition in Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Highly resilient against sweepers thanks to eminence and death triggers, the deck presents relentless pressure.
