Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Polymorph Control archetype commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The core game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive mana rocks on Turn 2, generating a disposable creature token on Turn 3 via cards like Staff of the Storyteller or Lingering Souls, and resolving Jace on Turn 4. By immediately activating Jace's −3 ability, the deck cheats game-warping threats directly from the library into play without paying their steep mana costs. Payoffs include devastating creatures like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur to strip opposing hands, Serra's Emissary to grant broad protection, Archfiend of Despair to accelerate life loss, and Hullbreaker Horror to dominate the stack. Supported by backup cheat enablers like Mass Polymorph and Proteus Staff, the deck maintains consistent pressure and transitions into a multi-turn aerial beatdown to finish the table by Turn 7.
