Deck overview

This Henzie "Toolbox" Torre deck is an aggressive Jund creature-engine archetype centered on blitzing high-impact creatures ahead of curve. By reducing blitz costs and granting haste and death-trigger card draw, Henzie turns heavy threats into immediate combat pressure and card advantage. The deck leverages an extensive ramp package to deploy Henzie on Turn 2 or 3, transitioning into Turn 4 value plays with creatures like Atsushi and Seedguide Ash. By Turn 5, it threatens overwhelming board states using explosive reanimation, Protean Hulk, Etali, Archon of Cruelty, or Razaketh lines. The deck recovers smoothly from board wipes due to Henzie's scaling discount and dense graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard hate and targeted commander removal.
