Watch Me Burn by jmajewicz23

Format: Commander

Commander: Rowan, Scion of War

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Rowan, Scion of War commands an explosive Rakdos combo-storm deck designed to turn life totals into an overwhelming mana engine. The primary game plan revolves around deploying repeatable, uncapped life-payment outlets such as Wall of Blood, Immolating Souleater, Doom Whisperer, and Unspeakable Symbol. Once significant life is paid during your turn, tapping Rowan reduces the costs of all black and red spells by that exact amount. The deck leverages this massive cost reduction to cast lethal finishing spells, primarily Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, Comet Storm, or Banefire. Secondary paths assemble lethal boards with Archon of Cruelty, Shard of the Nightbringer, and Hoarding Broodlord to overpower opponents.
