Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign to cheat massive, odd-mana-value spells directly onto the battlefield without paying their casting costs. The early game focuses on deploying two-mana ramp artifacts and establishing precise topdeck control using cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and Brainstorm. On Turn 4, the deck deploys Yennett, preparing to attack on Turn 5 to trigger her ability. Connecting with Yennett reveals and casts game-altering odd-cost spells, including extra-turn spells such as Expropriate and Temporal Manipulation, asymmetric board wipes like In Garruk's Wake, and oppressive creatures like Void Winnower and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant. While the deck can string extra turns together and deal lethal evasive combat damage by Turn 7, it relies heavily on Yennett surviving a full turn cycle without native haste or ward. Backup lines include hard-casting game-ending bombs or winning via Approach of the Second Sun.
