Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed runs a slow Esper value game: cast noncreature spells with mana value 3 or more to trigger her burn and card draw, while gaining life to stay alive. Papalymo Totolymo, Starscape Cleric, and Bastion of Remembrance make every trigger hurt more. Emet-Selch, Krile Baldesion, Buried Alive, and Lively Dirge add a graveyard subtheme that lets the deck reuse spells and creatures. Token makers like Champions from Beyond and The Crystal's Chosen provide a combat backup. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the deck is built around Y'shtola herself.
