Deck overview

This Gruul Enchantress deck leverages Kaima, the Fractured Calm to subvert traditional Aura strategies by enchanting opposing creatures. Using low-cost and disabling Auras such as Kenrith's Transformation, Rancor, and Song of the Dryads, the deck neutralizes opposing threats while goading them during the end step. Each goaded creature permanently grows Kaima with +1/+1 counters, transforming the commander into a lethal combat threat. A dense core of classic enchantresses—including Argothian Enchantress, Setessan Champion, and Enchantress's Presence—draws through the library to maintain continuous card advantage. While opponents whittle down each other's life totals through forced combat, the deck finishes surviving players using massive commander damage amplified by Ancestral Mask, unblockable evasion from Bothersome Quasit, or trample land strikes from Destiny Spinner. High-synergy protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Deflecting Swat defend your board against removal.
