Deck overview

This Azorius Dragon-control deck is helmed by Dragonlord Ojutai, leveraging his hexproof-while-untapped combat trigger for consistent card advantage. The primary plan is to deploy a critical mass of evasive dragons while maintaining tight countermagic and removal to keep the board clear. The deck can close games through overwhelming combat damage from flying threats or by assembling the classic infinite-mana loop of Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake, sinking the mana into Walking Ballista or Blue Sun's Zenith. A dense instant-speed interaction suite ensures the deck can protect its plays and disrupt opponents, while cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Herald's Horn speed up the dragon deployment.
