Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-blue draw-go control shell piloted by Baral, Chief of Compliance. It controls the early and mid-game through an overwhelming density of cheap and free counterspells, leveraging Baral's cost reduction to trade efficiently while sculpting the hand through loot triggers. Once the board is stabilized and sufficient mana is established, the deck pivots into compact, game-ending win conditions: exile-based wins with Paradigm Shift and Thassa's Oracle, or infinite mana loops via Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal. Supporting engines like Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring ensure a steady flow of resources. The deck excels at protecting its own win attempts with layered free countermagic while systematically denying opponents their high-impact spells.
