Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis discard and attrition strategy commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The game plan revolves around turning symmetrical discard effects into asymmetric resource dominance and life loss. In the opening turns, the deck deploys ramp and static punishers such as Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not. On Turn 5, Kefka enters the battlefield to force a round of discards while refilling your hand with fresh cards. The deck reaches critical onset on Turn 6 by casting wheels like Dark Deal and Windfall or oppressive lock pieces like Oppression and Tergrid, God of Fright. These spells strip opposing hands, wipe opposing creatures with Archfiend of Ifnir, and inflict substantial burn damage. Over the next two turns, attacks from large evasive creatures and ongoing upkeep drain finish off all three opponents on Turn 8.
