The Deck Above All? by Jackhammer

Format: Commander

Commander: Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a high-damage burn strategy centered on Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, whose ability doubles all damage dealt to opponents while halving damage you would take. The primary plan involves deploying multiple damage-doubling permanents-Gratuitous Violence, Fiendish Duo, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Curse of Bloodletting, and others-then finishing the table with a massive X-spell like Banefire or Comet Storm, a symmetrical burn spell like Earthquake, or the explosive Heartless Hidetsugu activation. Angels like Aurelia, the Warleader add extra combat steps, and a suite of instant-speed removal and protection helps stabilize. The mana base is slow and land-light (26 lands, many tapped), so the deck aims for a single overwhelming turn rather than incremental advantage, often using Gisela's damage prevention to survive its own symmetric effects.
